I love my dad very much and hope he had a great day. I'm thankful for everything I have. I hope my dad knows just how special he is to me. He is a wonderful person and he is my hero in everything that he does.
I am going to camp on Tuesday. I am kind of nervous because I think it will rain. But i've been doing a lot of study on wildlife lately. Such as rivers and streams in Utah. It is very interesting. Did you know that Price river is unnavigable?!? That means if you went kayaking in it you wouldn't be able to navigate your boat. OH another fact is that The green river flows along the border of the Uinta mountains and it is the most dangerous river along the rocky mountains because it is so large and it flows fast. Did you know that bear lake's maximum depth is 208 feet?!? I am so scared of natural waters! you could drown so easily. Grantsville Resivoir is 500 feet deep! But think about this, Lake Michigan is 1000 feet approx. and the ocean is approx. 350,000,000 feet deep. That is millions of feet deep! That's very scary. The reason why it is approx, is that no one can go that deep into the ocean because the pressure will make them explode literally.
All of that makes me really weirded out! This is even worse: My state has two million people. That is the population. of Utah. How crazy is that?!? That is because everyone has kids! It is crazy in Utah, I don't like it. I want to move in the country... Like in the ghost town Eureka, Utah. It has a very low population and there there are rocks everywhere. It used to be an old mining town. There is a mine out there that no one knows how deep it is. It's way scary. I really would like to live there though. It would be so cool. There are old jails and shops and its very facinating.
Talking about mining reminds me about the Crandall Canyon mine that caved in and trapped six miners! they never got them out. They are underground fifteen hundred feet. That is horrible. I remember that on the news everyday! That is so scary and sad. What if the miners are still alive? What would they do? I think if I were still alive, even though that happened two years ago... I would try to dig my way out. I think that mines should be more safe. It's so scary because even if you try to dig your way out, you will just get more crap piled on top of you. AH, this is all very mind boggling.
Do you know what else is mind boggling? Kearns Jr. High used to be a military base. It was called Camp Kearns and there are houses. (the ones that I live in) That the military wives would live in with their children and there are tunnels underground leading to kearns jr and each of the houses. After the war was over, and industrial things started happening, they filled some of the tunnels up with concrete. They found dead bodies and animals. they found bats and rocks. It's really scary. Every house has one too. That's so scary. I want to try to find our house's tunnel. But Kearns Jr.'s tunnel is still intact. and so is Kearns high. Wow, Salt lake city has a lot of underground tunnels. I just want to be able to go inside of one... it would be adrenaline pumping.
On a lighter note, lets grill some pizza and get the water melon out (which is indeed fifty percent water) and have fun!
